First blog post ever!

Kia ora koutou
Welcome to my first blog post for myself, I have been involved with lots of students and class ones, but this is different.  Today we (30+of us) took part in our first of nine online sessions learning DFI (Digital Fluency Intensive).  I like how Dorothy Burt said it was a special edition, I wonder if those words will be included on our medal on completion?
I enjoyed learning the kaupapa and pedagogy behind Manaiakalani as talked about by Dorothy Burt.  What a great foresight all those educators and community had, I feel very lucky to be involved with a school that is part of Manaiakalani.
As a shy person (yes, one of those children who did not contribute ideas much in class), I felt comfortable in our group with Makaore, so thank you group, and for reiterating that no question is a bad question. :)  It's special being part of a group from throughout Aotearoa.
Today I learned heaps that will be useful with my learners, especially the emphasis of having clear set-up systems, naming docs and using Explore.  Lots of new terminology has been flying around, like colorpick, URL-omnibox, labels/tags, Lexend font, table properties, so much to learn about and I am excited to be on this journey.
My goal right now is to have more organisation in Google drive and this will overflow to home life.
Below is a Google doc that I created with lots of helpful hints from Dorothy.
Thanks for a great day everybody.
